Dual wielding implemented in Modern Warfare

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 players will be able to dual wield sidearms in the game, which is a first for the series.
During a GameCrazy showing of the single-player mode, Bowling showed off the ability - called Akimbo - using two Desert Eagle pistols.
“Now to calm some initial fears of “OMG! Overpowered!” Akimbo is limited and balanced, just like everything in the game,” he said. “It’s limited to sidearms, harder to aim than standard and you can’t go ADS (aim down sights) since you have a weapon in each hand, among other balancing techniques.
“So don’t freak out before you see it in action.

Vehicles will not be part of Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has told GamerZines that vehicles will not play a part in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer.
“We never put vehicles in multiplayer,” he told the site. “Our focus is on fast-paced infantry combat, where you’re never reliant on transportation. What we do have is expanded Killstreak Rewards now, some of which are user-controlled.
“For example, where you previously could call in UAV, Airstrikes, and Helicopter Support but had no control on how helpful they were, there are many more options which allow you to take control of the gunner or control its success a bit more for a limited time. Such as the AC130 gunship where you can fire any of the three weapons on it during its limited time in the air.”

Infinity Ward: No Modern Warfare 2 demo before launch

Postby Major Havoc » Tue Sep 29, 2009 5:48 pm

Infinity Ward’s Rob Bowling has confirmed that a demo for Modern Warfare 2 won’t be coming before launch at least.
He confirmed the news in a Tweet.
“No plan for a Demo before launch. The entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game.”
There you have it. A beta of the multiplayer before the game’s release has been debunked before.

Citing unnamed sources, the site Electronic Theatre reports that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be delayed two weeks past its general Nov. 10 release date to Nov. 24.

Electronic Theatre says it has no official reasons for the delay, and speculates that "manufacturing constraints" may be to blame, perhaps to "counteract piracy issues."

Prefer to wait a couple of weeks and have it work properly than buy some crap that's waiting for a patch!
